Club 6
For our 6th graders
Club 6 is in session M-Th 3:00-5:00pm and Fridays 3:00-4:00pm - Kids can come everyday or drop in anytime.
For over 15 years, CASA’s Club 6 has been providing a creative social outlet for middle schoolers, while helping them grow into their new teen selves with confidence and ease.
We facilitate exploration of independent and group interests and provide individualized guidance through what can be an awkward and challenging time. Through community circles, workshops, and activities- Club 6 leaders (Jose & Gally) infuse daily interactions with social justice themes and encourage students to dig deeper when considering issues of equity, intersectional identities and privilege. Jose & Gally go the extra mile to connect with each Club 6 participant and truly get to know all of the kids. They understand the unique needs of middle schoolers and work to create a comfortable and inspiring after school ‘hang out’ environment while also sneaking in plenty of opportunities for growth and enrichment. The Club 6 goals are to: Relate, Create, and Motivate!
This year Club 6 is partnering with The Women’s Audio Mission to provide workshops on social justice podcasting for girls and gender expansive youth. There is no additional fee for these workshops which will result in an original recorded podcast created for and by youth!
