CASA Summer Camp 2024:
A Summer of Magic!

Join CASA (Children’s After School Arts) this summer for 6+ weeks of fun, magic, art, and play beginning on June 10th, 2024.

We are thrilled to once again offer that special mix of CASA magic which includes art, social justice, and social-emotional wellness. This year we are thrilled to bring back two CASA favorites, Magical Arts and Urban Adventures, along with new opportunities to get creative, get connected, and get outside! We promise to show your kid a great time with fabulous educators who truly care about your child's wellbeing.

Summer Camp 2024 FAQs

When is CASA Camp?

There are 6 one-week sessions beginning on June 10th (closed on 6/19 for Juneteenth, and 7/4 & 7/5), plus a final 3 day camp week.

Where will camp be located?

On the Twin Peaks Campus of Rooftop School.

What are the hours?

9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Before care: 8:00 - 9:00 am
After care: 3:00 - 5:00 pm

What is the cost?

$450 per week
$375 reduced week (6/17)

$350 reduced week (7/1)
+$50 per week for for before care
+$100 per week for after care
+$40 per week supply fee (Urban Adventures only)

What grades are you serving?

Rising Kindergarten - 8th grade.

Can kids who don't attend Rooftop come to CASA camp?

Yes!

How do I reserve my spot?

You can choose your weeks now and pay the nonrefundable deposit. We will follow up with enrollment materials and programming information.

Will there be financial aid?

Financial aid is available for the following focal populations:

  • Residents of public housing, RVs, and SROs

  • Families that are experiencing homelessness

  • Children and youth in the foster care system

  • English language learners

  • Low-income families, with a focus on historically impacted communities, including people who identify as African American, Latino/a/x, Native American, Pacific Islander, and/or Asian.

Summer Camp 2024
Program Details

Fairies, Friends, and Fun!: For students entering grades K-2nd
(offered all 6 weeks with unique programming each week!)

This is the perfect summer experience for young campers who love getting lost in make-believe worlds. Campers will create their own fabulous fairy personas, make magic wands, build fairy villages, make potions, and more! While our campers are creating and exploring magical worlds, CASA teachers will be guiding them in positive play, community building, and nurturing their social emotional needs.


Magical Arts Camp: For students entering grades 3rd-5th
(offered all 6 weeks with unique programming each week!)

CASA’s Magical Arts Camp will take 3rd-5th grade campers on a journey toward themselves while exploring magical, mystical worlds! Campers will make tiny fairy homes and giant magical installations. They’ll learn about the healing properties of nature and make tinctures, potions and teas to address personal and global concerns. As always, CASA’s Wellness Counselor & teachers will be on hand to help create safe spaces where social emotional needs are met and positive relationships are developed.


Wonderful World of Wheels Workshop: For students entering grades K-5
(offered Week 7: 7/22-24)

In this three day camp, campers will dive into all things wheels! The first half of the day will focus on building & creating, and the second half will be all about play! They will construct mini ferris wheels, make and race go-karts and mini cars, and more STEAM related projects where they will learn about wheels and axles. Campers will also be invited to bring bikes, skateboards, roller skates, etc- for afternoons of wheeling around with pals!


Rainbow Ravens Summer Club: For students entering grades 6th-8th
(offered Week 3: 6/24-6/28)

This summer club is an extension of Rooftop’s middle school GSA (genders & sexualities alliance), the Rainbow Ravens & Straight Allies (R2SA). R2SA is open to all 6th-8th graders (not just Rooftop students!) who are interested in building community and organizing around LGBTQ+ justice. Students will learn about San Francisco’s rich LGBTQ+ history through field trips, guest speakers, and arts based programming. The Rainbow Ravens Sumer Club will create safe space where queer, trans & allied youth can feel free to be themselves.


Urban Adventures: For students entering grades 6th-8th

(offered Weeks 1,2,4,5 & 6: 6/10-6/14, 6/17-6/21, 7/1-7/3, 7/8-7/12, 7/15-7/19)

CASA is excited to bring back this popular middle school summer offering! Students will spend the majority of their time exploring San Francisco neighborhoods through the guidance of fun & loving CASA teachers. Middle schoolers will learn how to explore the City safely, getting more familiar with neighborhoods & public transportation and building confidence in their ability to navigate San Francisco. Campers can expect to experiences the tastes, sounds and sites of diverse neighborhoods, go on scavenger hunts, and have plenty of time to run around in City parks. Please note- there is an additional $40 per week supply fee for Urban Adventures.
